Power Cords
Cerious Technologies had several design hurdles to face in the design of its new high current power cords. The first was the realization that electricity and fluids (and attorneys) do not mix. The next was how to make a product that performs like the other family of Cerious cable products with more traditional base materials. We had one element that could go a long way towards achieving this – the liquid Ceramic fluid-damping jacket employed throughout all of our cable products.
Power Cords
First we must start with the conductors employed. Ultra pure 10 gauge silver. Each conductor bundle is polished and wrapped in a proprietary micro porous medical grade Teflon which works like Gore-Tex in reverse, allowing moisture in and keeping it there. The fluid jacket contains a material that is an excellent contact cleaner, penetrating the micro porous Teflon to bathe the Silver in a constant bath of cleaning, minimizing any oxidation effects. Cerious Constant Cleanse technology silver will last in performance for up to twenty years with virtually no degradation.

Here we must remind ourselves of the unique task a power cable has – it must transmit a 50 or 60 Hz cycle at varying amplitudes. Everything above 60 Hz is grunge that we do not want to allow to pass. This calls for capacitance. Some companies will add a capacitor to their cables to attempt to filter out this noise, but the capacitors only operate at one point along the cable, rendering it ineffective. Due to the Liquid Ceramic fluid jacket, Cerious Technologies power cables have a constant capacitive filter that is identical across any one point for the entire length of the cable. Like our digital cable which uses capacitance to filter out digital noise, the power cables use much higher capacitance fluids to filter out power line noise resulting in the ultra quiet Cerious Technologies sound.

Highlights: The liquid Ceramic jacket in our power cords is the most “aggressive” we have yet designed. Highly viscous, downright tenacious, in its ability to seek out micro vibrations and turn them to silence. The combination of high damping, high constant capacitance, and the Cerious Constance Cleanse system make the new line of Cerious Technologies power cords worthy of the Cerious name. They’re the perfect match to other Cerious Technologies cable products.
